I Will Find A Way To You If It Kills Me

It's been a crazy couple of months. I've gotten over them, both of them. My best friend helped me through it all. After a couple of late-night talks and some soothing words, I was ready to move on with my life.

There was just one problem: I had fallen for my best friend.

It's been like that for about a month now. I've always had a crush on him, but it had never gotten to be this big. He dated my friend for a while, but now that friend and I don't talk so is that right of me?

Nothing has really changed between us, we are just a couple of goofballs together. However, I feel the awkwardness. I saw him yesterday for the first time since I let him know about my feelings. It was certainly weird.But at the end of the day, he let me know he felt the same way, or kinda, about me. He seemed indecisive, in a way, but I guess we'll just have to see where time takes things with us.

Lets hope we go somewhere together.

Life on Mars?

Whoever said it was wrong to be unique, out of the norm? Aren't the people who make exceptional changes, the ones who live in difference, and who don't follow routine, the same people who receive all of the praise? I believe that if you succeed in being different, in being original, then you are sure to succeed in many other things. I mean its not wrong to question thoughts, to ask questions, and to argue possible theories. For all we know, the sky might be purple, and our eyes are fooling us.

It isn't wrong to question the theories that we've heard over and over again, from the time we were little munchkins. How sure are we that this Earth is elliptical, and that no life exists beyond such point? How sure are we that dinosaurs are completely extinct? Maybe some are just hiding out. How sure are we of anything anymore?

We can't be afraid to speak up, even if we are wrong. A question can always inspire an investigation (not to sound like a freaky science geek, but it can!) , and who knows, maybe one day we'll hear about the person who discovered a dinosaur in disguise.

All I am saying is that we need to speak out, dare to make a change! Ask questions, and even dance in the rain!

Behind the Name

Whats in a name? That which we call a rose, by any other name would smell as sweet.

Dear old Shakespeare said it. What exactly IS the importance of a name? 

Its who you are characterized by all your life. The one word describing you. 

So what is the meaning of Glad not Glade? Well, the story goes back to my first period English class. You see, my name is AniGLADys. Glad. Not Glade. And it just bugs me when people pronounce it incorrectly! So my friends we're making fun of me for such reason and came up with the phrase: "Its GLAD not GLADE" (-Tom) 

 

But seriously, a name can mean so much. So the next time you complain about not liking that title your parents gave you, think to go Behind the Name, and find out what exactly your name might mean...
